Day trip to Tarnita Lake and Bride's Veil Waterfall

Trip description
Cluj is conveniently located close to the Western Carpathians, or what we informally call "Muntii Apuseni". It's where the Little Somes River's headwaters are and it's where we'll head for our "watery" trip to see several man made lakes and dams, a beautiful waterfall suggestively named the Bride's Veil and much more.
Driving from Cluj we'll head west and then south towards our first stop: the scenic Tarnita Lake. It is one of the four man made lakes on the Somes River, whose main purpose is producing electricity. Cluj gets its running water from these lakes and the multiple dams also provide a way to control the water flow.
There are two activities we'll engage in here: first take a not too long hike which will give us some beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding mountains and then go on a kayak tour for an hour or more on its deep, quiet waters.
Our next stop is Marisel, a spread out, typical mountain village where we'll have lunch in a local restaurant.
Continuing our journey we'll see the higher located Belis Lake, also on the Somes River. From here we'll keep on driving towards Rachitele where we'll take a short walk to see the beautiful Bride's Veil Waterfall and, as an option, do a second hike for more scenic views.
On our way back to Cluj we'll stop at a local icecream shop in the village of Sancraiu.
